  • Interview with Mikaela

Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky grew up in a racing family and is progressing in her own career every year. I had the opportunity to talk with her before the 2018 season in Scandinavian Touring Cars Championship. We discussed her motorsport heroes, new Guinness World Record, dancing and what she learned from racing. – Where are you from? – I’m from the lovely country of Sweden! – What are you working on at the moment? – At the moment I’m working hard for this season, both when it comes to finding more budget and also fitness wise. – What do potential sponsors ask from you…

  • World Rally Cross 2016 // Latvia

Ever since I’ve first visited a World Rally Cross event, I wanted to come back for more. This racing discipline is so packed with high adrenaline drama, that it’s impossible to not to ask for more. Round in Riga got on my radar from the moment World RX organisers published the calendar for their 2016 season. New country, new track and a new winner – as we got to know after the weekend, but let’s not hurry. Forecast was ambivalent: sun on Saturday and heavy rain on Sunday. Well, doesn’t happen often, but indeed, forecast was 100% correct. Saturday welcomed…

  • Is Petter Solberg and Monster Energy a Good Fit?

Let’s talk about the war of energy drinks and Petter Solberg this time. We start with drinks: basically in every motorsport or extreme sport discipline there’s a battle between Red Bull, Monster Energy and Rockstar. Red Bull supports more disciplined or old school athletes, usually champions with many years of experience; Monster Energy concentrates on young guns, athletes with a lot of passion and strong lifestyle. While Red Bull sends people to space, wins F1 titles, WRC, Dakar and many more, Monster is pretty much hungry for the wins, so the situation that happened at the beginning of 2015 got…

  • 101 Pictures from the DTM Festival

When you’re not a full-time motorsport photographer, you face a number of difficulties: you don’t know, will you actually get an accreditation or not, you need to find a publication and, usually, you spend own money on travel. Around 10 days before the event I got an email that I’m approved for DTM at Hockenheimring. In this case it’s best not to turn down the opportunity, which I didn’t – so I packed my bags and went to shoot German Touring Masters for the second time in my life. I like Hockenheimring and how it is situated. Comfortable flight to Frankfurt and…

  • DTM FINALE // HOCKENHEIM / 2013

Exactly one year ago I arrived to Hockenheim for the first time. As it usually is with racetracks — Hockenheimring is situated in a small town where you hardly see buildings more than two storeys high. Track facilities are the largest constructions in the area. I lived in a nearby city Manheim and travelled by train to Hockenheim. As soon as I arrived to the train station, loud and vicious engine noises were coming from the track and were heard everywhere dispite that the track was 2.5km away. DTM practice was on. Session was already ending, but I wasn’t worried, I knew…
