  • Rally Estonia 2018

Rally Estonia is a commonly known as a shakedown event before the WRC Finland. I went to the local event for the first time and now I know exactly why is that. Estonian southern roads are a copy of finish stages. Same sort of green trees and bushes, and a very similar gravel, just more dusty. Basically, after doing few WRC Finland events and coming here – I rarely could spot a difference.. biggest one being that marshals spoke Russian. Since it is the event prior the big, fast and dangerous “10 000 Lake” event, WRC teams like to participate…

  • Tips To Help You Buy Your First Rally Car

Buying a rally car is a fairly different experience to buying a normal car. This is because rally cars are within a niche area, so if you don’t have the right knowledge you could easily end up making an expensive mistake. • WRC Neste Rally Finland 2017

Last time I’ve visited a World Rally Championship event around 5-6 years ago. Back then it was still Sebastian Loeb collecting rally wins and championship titles, but oh boy how it changed. 2017 is a different game overall. WRC cars became faster and adapted, what I call, DTM-styled aerodynamics. It’s a rookie fest out there in terms of drivers, only veterans competing are Ford’s Sebastian Ogier, Toyota’s Jari-Matti Latvala and Hyundai’s Dani Sordo. Toyota brings “the Flying Finn” phenomenon back to trend with running a Finnish trio: Jari Matti, Esapekka Lappi and Juho Hänninen. Ogier’s teammate is young Estonian Ott…

  • Interview with Colin

Colin Clark, for me and for many others out there, is the Voice of WRC. Stage end reporter with unmistakable style and passion. I had the opportunity to hear his voice before the WRC season start this week in Monte Carlo. We discussed WRC, Rally Cross, Monte Carlo and Hyundai. – Where are you from? – Originally from Dundee, Scotland, but I traveled around a little bit since than and last 26 years I’ve been in Staffordshire, England. Here is where I’m happily settled now, almost more English than I am Scottish. – How would you describe yourself? – I’m a…

  • MY TOP 5 RACING STREAMS

I belong to a generation that watches news, different events and plain entertainment on Internet rather on a TV. I’m used to the idea that most of the action can be watched LIVE online. Here I made my personal Top 5 chart of the online racing streams I follow. 1) NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series This one is probably my favourite, even though I can’t check it live. Event is usually uploaded on the next day. The fact that it’s not live actually makes it even better, I’m able to fast-forward the slow parts: pre-staging, interviews, etc. American drag racing is…
