Read more: 1973 Oettinger Beetle 1303Last month I’ve visited the Volkswagen museum in Wolfsburg and after looking at similar VW Bugs for 20 minutes I spotted this monster. It’s claimed to be the widest VW Käfer ever built in Europe (I guess americans have some weird builds) wearing a 2,2m body kit. If my German isn’t completely off, this Beetle is fitted with 345/35 wheels at the back and 225 in front. 2.2L Engine is from a Porsche 911, developing 255 horsepower. Body work is obviously custom made by Oettinger. The 1973 Beetle 1303 chassis is heavily reinforced in order to come with the power.…
