  • Interview with Alex

Alex Wong aka Emotive Image, for me and for many others, is the best emerging Motorsport Photographer out there. His  style is very sharp, precise, yet tender. I had the opportunity to speak with him. We discussed motorsport photography, Formula 1 and digital publishing. – Where are you from? – I am from San Francisco, California in the United States. – What are you working on at the moment? – At the moment I’m compiling my 2015 year in review photo set, I believe I’ve taken nearly 210,000 photographs this year so it will take a while! – I’ve enjoyed your 2014 edition…

Héléna el Mokni is one of the most talented rally photographers. She puts a lot of character in her pictures. I had the opportunity to talk and meet her. We discussed WRC, love for film, print and Italian comedy. – Where are you from? – I’m from France, I was born in Grasse and grew up in Antibes. I really enjoy this cosy area. – What are you working on at the moment? – As you know this is the end of the year so I have plenty of time to relax and to focus on different things. • Interview with Bryn

Bryn Musslewhite is one of the early contributors at Speedhunters. He was also the first Speedhunter I’ve met. I had the opportunity to talk with him. We discussed his character, love for cars, music and tea. – Where are you from? – I was born in London, but grew up in the countryside of South West England, I’m now based in motorsport country, or 40mins south west of Silverstone! – Tell me a cool story from/about Silverstone. – My father used to race vintage MGs, from the 1930s. As a kid I can remember he and I going to race circuits all over…

  • Formula Offroad NEZ // Norway / Skien 2015

I’m not sure where to start with Formula Offroad. It was not only a new event for me, but a totally new discipline. I won’t bore you a lot – it was awesome, it was my highlight of the year. Hardcore nordic tattooed dudes take their driving skills to the limit, making 70° – 80° – 90° hill climbs a doddle with the little help of nitro. Closest I can compare it too is drag racing: full throttle approach, special tyres, similar engine notes and “drag” as a keyword. I remember this sport from childhood, remember watching Motors TV and…

  • Estonian Drift GP // Drift Allstars / Outtakes

When an event is close to your home, you’re able to devote more time to it. Especially when it’s one of the highlights of the year. This time I was writing the article for Speedhunters, I feel that I covered Estonian drift scene quite well without being boring or writing too much about it – it wasn’t a complete history of course, but probably I will try myself on something like that for the 10th Anniversary (I have all the material from Day 1). You can read Speedhunters story and check the main pictures HERE. Below you can see my…

  • Latvian Drift GP // Drift Allstars / 2015

Drift Allstars in Riga, what to say.. Last time I was at Bikernieki I made 50 pictures and went away, thought that i’ve been too many times here, that all angles are same and done long time ago. At DA I spent two full days at the track, drivers brought inspiration with their car control and attitude. My memory is still overwhelmed with #gatebilexperience and seeing many familiar faces injected that extra bit of excitement. Seeing best polish drivers back to the series was a turn on for me as well. Also so many photographers turned up for the event.…

  • Gatebil Rudskogen // July / 2015

I always try to get new experience and choose those events where I haven’t been before, but I can’t say this about Gatebil – I’ve been to Gatebil Rudskogen festival three times and I’m planning to go next year as well. Event is so diverse that I’m not sure why I keep coming back: is it the atmosphere, or drifting, or socialisation with colleagues? I arrived in the evening on Friday and went straight away to the track, festival program already finished and that meant that Rudskogen circuit is filled with photoshoots. Me and fellow photographer Alex went to say…
