Driftime 10 Aastat
Read more: Driftime 10 AastatTime flies. Everything changed in 10 years: back then I was just finishing university, James Deane was 17 years old, James Deen was 22 and James Dean would be 54. Drifting in all European countries was on a very grassroots level. Even Formula D was held only for two years. Estonian drag racing was on a rise before, but was declining, rally as well – drifting came between the Markko Märtin and Ott Tänak eras. We did have a vibrant street car culture: plenty of BMWs were roaring the streets and few guys turned their attention at drifting. I had…

Baltic Drift Championship // Riga / 2018
Read more: Baltic Drift Championship // Riga / 2018After long winter rest I find myself at a familiar track – Bikernieki circuit in Riga. It’s a fresh tradition to start the Baltic championship at this infamous track. Eline Berke does a great job, always bringing full house of spectators and more than 100 drivers. Read more: Baltic Drift Cup 2016 // Round 1 / RigaAfter a long winter period the Baltic Drift Cup is back and it’s stronger than ever. Blind corners were proving bravery of each and everyone and it showed: drivers with fewer practice took a more comfortable and safe trajectory. As always, new season brought new cars,…

Estonian Drift GP // Drift Allstars / Outtakes
Read more: Estonian Drift GP // Drift Allstars / OuttakesWhen an event is close to your home, you’re able to devote more time to it. Especially when it’s one of the highlights of the year. This time I was writing the article for Speedhunters, I feel that I covered Estonian drift scene quite well without being boring or writing too much about it – it wasn’t a complete history of course, but probably I will try myself on something like that for the 10th Anniversary (I have all the material from Day 1). You can read Speedhunters story and check the main pictures HERE. Below you can see my…
