  • 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO – How Does a 72M$ Car Look Like

To put it simply, it looks like an old Ferrari with gorgeous design. What makes it special is that only 39 were ever made. GTO stands for “Gran Turismo Omologato” – yes, it’s a 60s racing car. There are many stories connected to this model, so you can Google those. What struck me was that the car stood on the lawn without any barricades, security and even no sniper on the roof near by – anyone could come close and even touch it (small kids were particularly fond of doing this). This weekend this exact car (chassis 4153 GT )…

  • Geneva International Motor Show 2018

My friend and car photographer Igor Sinitsin (site & facebook) attended the infamous Geneva International Motor Show for another year and shared his pictures (2017 gallery here) with me. I thought it will be very cool to show some glamorous hypercars once in a while. Here’s what he has to say: Geneva International Motor Show has become a destination for my annual pilgrimage. Despite the crowds, booked out hotels, lines everywhere, and a 6 hour drive away from where I live, this event always offers something that others can not match. Being a truly boutique exhibition, it is THE place…

  • Guest Post // Igor Sinitsin / Mondorf Concours d’Elegance & Luxembourg Classic Days

With hundreds of pictures from the glamorous Monterey Car Week currently buzzing all around the Web, it’s a good time to feature a review of a much smaller, local Concours d’Elegance event held annually in the quiet village of Mondorf-les-Bains south of Luxembourg. Being a small but rich country, Luxembourg has plenty of car enthusiasts and oldtimer collectors to offer something new and interesting to feature at this show every year. This year’s concours was devoted to my favourite brand – Alfa Romeo, featuring the rarest classic examples from the entire region. The highlight of the show was a magnificent…

  • Gran Turismo Baltica // Auto24ring / 2015

I’m already used that in the end of July I get to shoot some supercars at Auto24ring. Gran Turismo Baltica have been coming to this circuit for four times now and always attracts plenty spectators. 2. Organisers themselves say that the race track in Pärnu is one of the finest in Eastern Europe, so event is always fully booked. 3. Finest supercars come to the track 4. I photographed this event a bit differently this time, almost didn’t use my trusty 70-200 and put pressure on the other equipment that I have and that I don’t use most of the…

  • 24 Hours of Le Mans // Entertaining Statistics / 2015

As some of you know, I’m not only a motorsport photographer, but an Internet marketer that loves analytics. In a recent press release from World Endurance Championship (WEC) I read that the latest edition of Le Mans 24 hour race attracted 263 500 spectators, the biggest in the past 20 years. Here are some interesting statistics (and my pictures from 2014) that I got from WEC: Spectators at the circuit – 263 500 spectators at the circuit, 200 more than in 2014. – 30 100 spectators at the first day’s practice (Wednesday 10th June), 56 000 the second (Thursday 11th…
