  • Kustom Kulture Forever // Germany

In 2018 I visited a lot of Custom Culture shows. This story was originally published on Speedhunters, so here’s an overview. Custom culture events have never been as popular in Europe as they are right now. The hot rodding culture that defined 1950s America has grown immensely in the time since, and now it’s conquering the hearts of car and bike lovers right across the world. European faithful made their way to Zeche Ewald, an abandoned coal mine location in Germany, for arguably the biggest custom culture show on the continent: Kustom Kulture Forever. As someone who’s attended a lot of shows, I can…

  • Do-Dads Vintage Drag & Show 2018

Do-dads Reunion Vintage Drag & Show – I wanted to visit this event for few years, but it always clashes with WRC Finland. This year I just didn’t do the rally. I was very committed and even started a vlog. Very DIY one: shot on phone, edited on phone. Take a look 😉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1oc_kNXaOI Now, let’s see the proper photo report. Let’s start with the Finnish take on cosplay. Who did James Dean better? Raaaurr Those who were less into cosplay, just wore Dickies shorts, trucker’s cap and some Converse.. as I did too Event was held at Oripää Airfield,…

  • American Beauty Car Show 2018

Here’s a massive gallery with 100 pics from the annual American Beauty Car Show in Haapsalu. I love coming to this small town during the event. Fact that only American cars (and most of them old) are allowed to enter the Old Town makes it a bit like Cuba, if you understand what I mean. It was the first time I came to the show on Friday (ran through it in one hour and drove 3h further to Rally Estonia). I was able to go inside the castle before the general public, so made few clean shots. Also the evening…

  • American Car Show Helsinki 2018

In my last year’s post I was deliberating, while I go to Helsinki or to Stockholm for Elmia show, but once again I ended up in Finland. It’s already a tradition for me to head to Helsinki on Easter weekend. Helsinki’s American Car Show (actually show consists of four exhibitions: american cars, tuning, motorbikes, motorsport) offers a great selection of builds every time, although there’s quite a lot of familiar cars at the show as well. Well, it’s good to catch up with old friends as well. The Cars corner I understand that these car clubs just take up space,…

  • Kustom Kulture Show 2018 // Helsinki

It’s finally something fresh on the blog, by fresh I mean – pictures that are taken in 2018, not taken from my dusty archive (where are still plenty of things to show). This weekend I went to Helsinki, for the Kustom Kulture show that was held at Helsinki’s top artsy location – Cable Factory. I still have warm feelings about the Japanese Mooneyes event and was looking forward to dive deeper into a more local custom scene. Me and my friend Misha, who is t-h-e Hot Wheels collector in Estonia went on Sunday, because it was the day of a swap meet…

  • Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2017 // Gracious Pickups

Chevrolet stopped producing El Camino the year I was born. Chevy pickup went through five generations and all of them were on display at this year’s Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show, although every vehicle was “slightly” customised. It was another spotlight of the show, next to the “Taste of Deuce”. There’s great hype for these vehicles and Japanese love them. Personally I’m quite sure that Chevy will resurrect the name sooner than later.

  • Yankee Car Show 2017

Few years have passed since I was at a X-treme Car Show. I was visiting them when they were held in Helsinki, but it’s first time for me that I’ve made it to Lahti. Show is actually split into two: Yankee Car Show for US cars and X-treme Show for tuning goers. I’ll split my report between them as well: first up – Yankee heaven.

  • Diskustom Magazine Kruise Nite

Diskustom is a fresh local zine as well as a movement that hails customs, hotrods and other unconventional builds. Jarmo, guy behind it, tries to organise monthly road trips and puts a “car & coffee” feel to the meets. I was able to join the gang on their second outing and luckily enough – it was the hottest day of Estonian summer.

  • American beauty car show 2017 // Drag Race

Drag Racing in Haapsalu is a long-standing Estonian tradition. It’s even more intriguing to experience it when only traditional American muscle cars and dragsters are around. American Beauty Car Show’s finale is always celebrated at a 1/4 mile strip and is considered more of a show event that a competition.
